Formedge Inc. has an immediate opening for 5 Machine fitters (NOC: 72405) at our location in Windsor, Ontario.
As a Machine Fitter (NOC: 72405) you will perform some or all of the following duties:
• Examine and understand blueprints, sketches, and diagrams to identify the steps involved in assembly operations.
• Construct heavy industrial machinery, including construction, farming, and processing equipment, railway vehicles, and aircraft engines, by fitting and assembling prefabricated metal parts.
• Utilize lifting and transporting devices like overhead cranes to relocate and align subassemblies and components.
• Install key components such as gears, pumps, motors, or hydraulic assemblies during the assembly process.
• Conduct thorough inspections of parts, subassemblies, and completed products to guarantee their quality.
Qualifications:
• Completion of secondary school is usually required.
• Completion of a mechanical apprenticeship program, such as millwrighting, machining, pipefitting, automotive service or heavy equipment repair or completion of a four-year machine fitter apprenticeship program or 1-2 years of experience is required.
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to tackle problems systematically to diagnose issues and produce effective recommendations;
• Multi-tasker, attention to detail, and effective time management.
• Proven experience as a welder or welder-fitter in a manufacturing, industrial, or heavy welding industry
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (35-40 hours/week)
Compensation $31.25 /hour
